I spent four days in Tokyo and I had a great difficulty getting in touch with my kids. I knew they were ok and that they would have to learn how to cope with Mommy being away.

My return flight arrived almost midnight (Manila time). I knew the boys would try to wait for me.

I came into the bedroom and the lights were still on. They did wait up for me but drowsiness took over them. Derek heard me come in though. He got up, walked up to me and tells me. “Oh, Hi, Mom! You’re beautiful.” He hugged me, went back to bed and covered himself under the sheets.

Is that the best comeback greeting, or what?!!!

I left Tokyo inspired. For months, the people at ASP were wondering how to put things together for our own local community. I’ll be honest in saying that I want to move away from awareness campaigns and get down to doing projects. I love the immersion I had when I was in Tokyo. I have to thank a lot of people who helped put the trip together: Toshihiro Ogiumra, Mark Lee Ford, Yoko, Charles Tiu and Eric-san and my new-found friends Tokyo who took time-off just to show me around. ….

Water, Typhoons and Healing

I got this email from the Ruah Circle – Reiki Yahoogroup. It was sent after the Philippines was hit by Typhoon Ketsana. It has been 5 days since and relief operations still continue. 300 fatalities have been counted and more bodies left unaccounted for. Houses and industries are ravaged, feared to have reached more than P10B. It is undoubtedly the biggest devastation in Philippine history.

Each tragedy has a higher purpose. While some look at it as punishment, there is always the presence of light in the darkness. What we need to learn (in everything we do) is how to find that light and keep it burning bright.

Hi, To All!

There had been a lot of questions as to why this flood happened to us and specially to Manila. To answer, let us all be reminded of the “water” the element of nature, which is present in our surroundings and in our body.

Water represents the element of water, ruled by Archangel Gabriel. As an element it brings message – of news, of an upcoming event, which is usually a transformative in nature. It is also related to emotions that if connected to a higher consciousness can bring new awareness and enlightement- an upliftement of spiritual understanding.

The water cleanses and destroys— and from the destruction comes a new position of lands, and new position of looking into things.

Water easily reacts to any changes made by man into nature. When it peaks it cleanses on its own. Because it is related to emotions, it flows on its own.

When water is imbalanced, imbalanced emotions of human beings can come up. (Manila needs purification.) (Let us also look into an undergound piping work that is happening in Manila. I will have to verify if this is really true.)

When a tragedy happens, let us take into consideration of everything – from the law of nature to the law of karma as applied to individuals and group of people or city. This happened for a purpose.

With the tragedy, there is an opening of the heart of everyone to reach out and to share. A new awareness will come up. Manila will have an activation of the heart.

After the rescue and relief operations, comes the need to help the victims to see things in a higher perspective. Because water is related to the emotions, there can be a lot of cases of depression, anxiety, hopelessness, possessions, and even spiritual emergencies. As healers, lets open ourselves to help in healing the victims to heal. Let us be aware of the events happening in areas mostly affected by the typhoon. These areas also need healing of land as well bringing any earthbounded souls into the light.

As Reiki Healers, we can be help to attend beyond the physical needs of the victims and our land.

Getting into Heaven :-)

Henry came down running from the second floor with tears in his eyes and runs to me. He hugs me so tight and he tells me, “I don’t want you to die. Me and my brother don’t want to live without you.”

As much as I am wondering what triggered this, I assured Henry that no one really dies but just transforms and its the soul that decides to leave its physical body and it could decide anytime….Yes, I know that was a tough explanation for a little boy who, because of his diganosis, interprets things very literally. But he took really well and leaves with a thought, “so we’ll see each other in Heaven?”…..

That wasn’t the end of it….

For days on end, he asked about Death. How? when? who? what next? yada yada yada…

One night, he tells me that his “God teacher” (actually it’s Cathechism class) told him, that if he wants to go to Heaven, all he had to do was place his hand over heart. “Really?” I said, not passing any judgement on his teacher, and then I just closed my eyes and laid down. About 20 seconds later, Henry comes up to me and asks, “Mommy, how long do I have to keep my hand over my chest?”….I’d like to throw that question back to his “God teacher.” LOL

Air Strumming to Third Eye Blind

I found myself air strumming to a song again. I was watching Jim Carrey’s Yes Man and there was a jumper scene. It was sooooo funny.

Last time I caught myself air strumming was in a taxi cab in Singapore to a song by Jars of Clay. ….Heck! I don’t even know how to play the guitar.
