Derek and I were doing mapping.
I was concerned because he didn’t want to read the book. After a short passage from the book, he grabs one of his favorite books, Bears in the Night, and starts drawing. 
Not exactly part of the lesson but something worth noting. Considering my son rarely speaks, his parting shot was a pleasant surprise.
